Over 500 Surveyors from Countrywide came from all corners of the UK to kick off the New Year at their annual conference, running over 2 days in a new 2019 twist.

HTL’s very own Alice Bufton-Thorneycroft facilitated the event for the third year running, and was joined on stage by Development Director Paul Cutbill and Director of Field Operations Matthew Cumber from Countrywide’s Core Team.

The theme of the conference was Best by any Measure, with internal presentations focused on the business climate, acknowledging the work and dedication of Surveyors throughout the UK, and welcoming the new generation of qualified Surveyors into the business. The annual Countrywide awards element of the conference also highlighted the achievements of the business throughout the UK.

The highlight of the event was the addition of a second day of conference, focusing on CPD tailored sessions, offering keynotes from leading professionals from RICS, Thames Laboratories and Property Care Associations.

Event highlights also included a keynote from Purpose Republic’s Jamie Edwards who focused on inspiring, motivating and enabling leaders at all levels in the business to put purpose at the heart of their leadership with simplicity, speed and scale.

HTL’s Steve McCulley closed the conference with his truly inspirational tale of success in the face of adversity, after leaving a testing Military career, his road to recovery from life threatening injuries led to him creating the world’s lightest foldable bike.

HTL worked closely with Countrywide to curate the content of the new 2 day event, prepare speakers and manage all the logistics on the day.
